Community Safety
AEDs & CPR on the North Shore

Rotary members were back out with drills and mounting hardware this month, installing another public-access AED cabinet on the North Shore. Each unit is registered, logged, and inspected on a regular maintenance schedule.
Sudden cardiac arrest survival drops sharply with every minute that passes. On a rural coastline where response times are long, a nearby AED paired with bystander CPR is often the difference between life and death.
The project is separate from our rescue tube work — it focuses on cardiac emergencies in public places, plus community CPR training. To host an AED or join a training, email hanaleirotary@gmail.com.
